Comparison

MailerLite vs Moosend

Pricing, send limits, automation and features compared at your own list size. Prices checked 8 September 2026.

Quick verdict

These two are closer than their marketing suggests. On our latest check Moosend was slightly cheaper than MailerLite at every paid band from 500 to 50,000 subscribers, and it does not cap sending on any paid plan, where MailerLite Comfort allows ten sends per subscriber. MailerLite only pulls ahead on price at the largest lists. It is still the better product to actually use: a clearer editor, better onboarding, and a free tier where Moosend offers only a thirty-day trial. Choose Moosend if price or send frequency decides it, or you want automation and landing pages on the entry plan. Choose MailerLite if you want the smoother tool or a free tier to start on.

Automation

Both offer visual, multi-step workflows with branching. Moosend includes its full automation library on the entry Pro plan and ships more prebuilt recipes, including cart abandonment. MailerLite caps Comfort at 50 automations and reserves unlimited workflows for Power. Neither approaches ActiveCampaign for conditional depth, and neither offers lead scoring.

Ecommerce features

Moosend is the clear winner. Its Pro plan includes cart abandonment, product blocks and store-triggered workflows as standard, with WooCommerce and Shopify integrations. MailerLite handles digital products and basic ecommerce blocks but has no true abandoned-cart flow below the Power tier, and its store integrations are shallower on both platforms.

Forms and landing pages

MailerLite is stronger here. Signup forms, popups, landing pages and a full website builder are included from the free tier upward, and the builder is the same one used for campaigns, so there is nothing new to learn. Moosend includes landing pages and subscription forms on Pro, but the builder is more basic and there is no website builder at all.

Email send limits

The single most important line on this page. Moosend does not cap sends on any paid plan. MailerLite Comfort allows ten times your subscriber band per month (25,000 emails at the 2,500 band) and only Power removes the cap. At four campaigns a month you will not notice; at twelve, MailerLite Comfort will not fit and the comparison becomes Power against Pro, which changes the answer.

Free plan limits

MailerLite has one; Moosend does not. MailerLite Free carries 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month with automation, one landing page and three forms included, in exchange for MailerLite branding on your emails. Moosend offers a 30-day trial for up to 1,000 contacts and then requires payment. For anyone testing the water this is a decisive difference.

Integrations

MailerLite has the larger catalogue, with over a hundred native integrations covering Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress, Stripe and the major site builders. Moosend covers the important ones (WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento, Salesforce) but the tail is thinner. Both connect to Zapier and Make, which closes most of the gap for anything niche.

Deliverability

Both run shared IP pools with SPF and DKIM on all plans. MailerLite manually reviews new accounts before the first send, which suppresses the list-buying that degrades a shared pool and is a genuine, if inconvenient, advantage. Moosend offers dedicated IPs as a paid add-on, which MailerLite reserves for Enterprise. We do not run our own inbox placement tests and neither score should be read as a measured inbox rate.

Support

Moosend includes live chat on every paid plan and assigns an account manager on higher tiers. MailerLite gives 24/7 email support on Comfort and adds 24/7 live chat only on Power, with the free tier limited to documentation and community. If reaching a human quickly matters, Moosend gives you more for less.

Ease of use

MailerLite wins this comfortably and it is the main reason to pick it. The interface is uncluttered, the path from blank page to sent campaign is short, and the documentation is unusually clear. Moosend is perfectly usable but its reporting screens feel dated and a few settings are buried where MailerLite puts them in front of you.

Pros and cons

MailerLite

Clean, cheap and capable enough for most lists

Pros

  • Among the cheapest paid plans for lists under 1,000 subscribers
  • The clearest editor and onboarding of any provider here
  • Free plan includes automation, which most free plans do not
  • Landing pages and a website builder included rather than sold separately

Cons

  • No native SMS on any plan
  • CRM is tags and segments, not pipelines or deals
  • Manual account approval can delay the first send by a day
  • Automation branching is shallower than the enterprise tools

Moosend

Unlimited sending at a low per-contact price

Pros

  • Unlimited email sends on every paid plan
  • Automation and landing pages included on the entry plan
  • Cheap at small and mid list sizes
  • Transactional SMTP included rather than sold separately

Cons

  • No free plan, a 30-day trial only
  • No native SMS
  • Smaller integration catalogue than the larger providers
  • Reporting is less polished than the price-comparable alternatives

Alternatives worth checking

If neither of these fits, these are the providers we would look at next and why.

How we compared these two

Prices come from each provider’s own published pricing page. The source URL and the date we checked it are shown against every figure in the calculator above; where a band has not yet been confirmed against the source it is labelled “needs review” rather than presented as confirmed.

The ranking in the calculator is by price alone. Our editorial scores, automation, ease of use, deliverability, support, do not reorder it. They inform the verdict and the use-case winners above, and each score has its reasoning written out on the provider’s own page.

We do not run our own inbox placement tests, so nothing in the deliverability section should be read as a measured inbox rate. It reflects published sending infrastructure, authentication and IP options, and documented provider policy.
