Comparison

Omnisend vs MailerLite

Pricing, send limits, automation and features compared at your own list size. Prices checked 8 September 2026.

Quick verdict

This one is decided by whether you sell physical products. Omnisend is built for stores and very little else: cart and browse abandonment, product pickers pulling live catalogue data, purchase-triggered flows, and SMS on the same canvas as email, with the most complete Shopify integration in this comparison. MailerLite is a general email platform that is cheaper at every band, easier to use, and has a website builder Omnisend does not attempt. If you run a store with meaningful order volume, Omnisend will usually pay for the difference through recovered carts alone. If you do not, you are paying a substantial premium for machinery with nothing to act on, and MailerLite is the obvious choice.

Automation

Different strengths rather than a clear winner. Omnisend ships prebuilt ecommerce workflows (cart abandonment, browse abandonment, post-purchase, winback) that work immediately against a connected store, and puts email, SMS and web push on one canvas. MailerLite has a competent general-purpose builder with branching, capped at 50 workflows on Comfort. For store logic Omnisend is far ahead; for anything else they are comparable.

Ecommerce features

Omnisend, decisively. It is the entire point of the product: product pickers with live catalogue data, cart and browse abandonment, purchase-triggered segmentation, revenue attribution per flow, and native integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and Magento. MailerLite offers ecommerce blocks and digital products on Comfort with abandoned cart only on Power, and its store integrations are considerably shallower.

Forms and landing pages

MailerLite wins clearly. Signup forms, popups, landing pages and a full website builder are included from the free tier upward, all in the same editor. Omnisend has capable forms and popups with good targeting rules aimed at list-building on a store, but no landing page builder and no website builder at all. For anything beyond an on-store popup, MailerLite is the tool.

Email send limits

Omnisend Standard allocates twelve sends per contact per month and Pro removes the cap entirely. MailerLite Comfort allows ten per subscriber and Power is uncapped under fair use. In practice the ratios are close enough that this rarely decides the choice, unlike price, where the gap is consistent and wide, or ecommerce features, where the gap is decisive.

Free plan limits

MailerLite’s free tier is more usable despite a smaller contact allowance. MailerLite Free: 250 subscribers, 2,500 emails a month. Omnisend Free: 250 contacts but only 500 emails a month (roughly two campaigns to a full list) plus 500 web push. Omnisend does include its automation and 24/7 support on free, which MailerLite does not, but 500 emails is a demo rather than a working plan.

Integrations

They point in different directions. Omnisend is deep on commerce (Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, Wix, Recharge) with the Shopify integration in particular being the most complete here. MailerLite is broad rather than deep, with over a hundred integrations across site builders, payment tools and CRMs. Pick by the shape of your stack, not the total count.

Deliverability

Both are solid with different emphases. Omnisend segments shared IP pools by sending behaviour and automatically suppresses non-engagers on ecommerce flows, which materially helps store senders with large stale lists. MailerLite manually reviews new accounts before first send. We score MailerLite marginally higher on the strength of that review policy. Neither number comes from our own inbox placement testing.

Support

Omnisend wins comfortably. It offers 24/7 email and live chat on every plan including free, and assigns an expert to higher-spend accounts. MailerLite gives 24/7 email on Comfort, live chat only on Power, and leaves free users with community and documentation. Omnisend is consistently among the best-supported products in this whole comparison.

Ease of use

MailerLite is easier in general; Omnisend is easier for the specific job. If you have a store connected, Omnisend is genuinely fast: connect, pick a prebuilt flow, edit the copy, publish. Without a store, much of its interface has nothing to act on and feels empty. MailerLite is the more approachable product for someone who just wants to send a good-looking email.

Pros and cons

Omnisend

Ecommerce email and SMS in one place

Pros

  • The most complete Shopify and WooCommerce integration here
  • Email, SMS and web push on a single flow canvas
  • 24/7 support on every plan, including the free one
  • Unlimited email sends on the Pro tier

Cons

  • Expensive per contact compared with the generalists
  • Free plan allows only 500 emails a month
  • Poor fit for anything that is not a store
  • SMS credits are billed on top of the plan fee

MailerLite

Clean, cheap and capable enough for most lists

Pros

  • Among the cheapest paid plans for lists under 1,000 subscribers
  • The clearest editor and onboarding of any provider here
  • Free plan includes automation, which most free plans do not
  • Landing pages and a website builder included rather than sold separately

Cons

  • No native SMS on any plan
  • CRM is tags and segments, not pipelines or deals
  • Manual account approval can delay the first send by a day
  • Automation branching is shallower than the enterprise tools

Alternatives worth checking

If neither of these fits, these are the providers we would look at next and why.

How we compared these two

Prices come from each provider’s own published pricing page. The source URL and the date we checked it are shown against every figure in the calculator above; where a band has not yet been confirmed against the source it is labelled “needs review” rather than presented as confirmed.

The ranking in the calculator is by price alone. Our editorial scores, automation, ease of use, deliverability, support, do not reorder it. They inform the verdict and the use-case winners above, and each score has its reasoning written out on the provider’s own page.

We do not run our own inbox placement tests, so nothing in the deliverability section should be read as a measured inbox rate. It reflects published sending infrastructure, authentication and IP options, and documented provider policy.
